RIT artists’ exhibit on display at the State Street Gallery Called A Fraternity of Artists, this group of 17 RIT artists from Alpha Epsilon Pi, are exhibiting at State Street Gallery in Caledonia. Their mission is straightforward, "To showcase the talents of the artists of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity and to use this showcase to promote, and hopefully, launch the careers of these deserving artists," remarked Jonathan White, the exhibit’s curator. State Street Gallery owner, Vince Yaniro, says he is pleased to exhibit the artists’ work in his Caledonia gallery. His goal is to exhibit a wide variety of art, including photography, oil painting, water colors, sculpture, wood, clay and others. He wants visitors to the gallery to simply browse the talent that is hanging on the walls and enjoy the creativity that each piece demonstrates. State Street Gallery hosted an opening reception for the Fraternity of Artists on September 6. The exhibit will remain at the gallery until October 13, 2007. Yaniro, a photographer himself, along with fellow photographers Fred Trumbore and F. Dick Daniell, will present a photo exhibition at Big Springs Museum, 3095 Main Street, Caledonia. Their exhibit is part of the Artists of the Genesee Valley Studio Tour, featuring the work of 19 artists that will exhibit at galleries throughout Livingston County. The Studio Tour runs for two days, October 13 and 14, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
