Cal-Mum Rotary gives dictionaries to third graders

Caledonia-Mumford Rotary Club visited Cal-Mum Elementary School recently to present a new dictionary to every third grade student. Superintendent of Schools David V. Dinolfo, also an active Rotarian, along with fellow Rotarians Tom and Mary Lou Coene and Principal James Wolinsky, visited Mrs. Lemen's, Ms. Kearney's and Mrs. Saunders' classrooms and presented the dictionaries to each student individually.
The inside page of each dictionary contained Rotary's Four-Way Test, which Mr. Dinolfo said is exemplified daily in all Cal-Mum classrooms.

The dictionaries are one of the ways Cal-Mum Rotary gives back to the students who support the work of the club by attending the Rotary sponsored roller skating parties throughout the school year. CM Rotary also annually presents a scholarship to a member of the graduating Senior Class.

Rotary's Four-Way Test

  • Is it the TRUTH?
  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
