Cal-Mum Rotary Spring Road Clean p

   Cal-Mum held it's Spring Road Pick-up on Rte. 5 last week as part of its commitment to the community and state. This event has been an activity for the Club for many years. It's amazing the things that get thrown out or fall out from the cars and trucks that use this section of Rte. 5.

   This year we did not have the usual four or five bags of garbage and debris. In fact, we were surprised by the cleanliness of the whole route. Yes, we did find things; a piece of iron from a machine, an empty bottle or two, several tossed out tissues and pieces of plastic from autos. All this fit in one orange bag.

   We want to thank the driving community and the folks who live on Rte. 5 for your help in keeping the highway coming into our village a clean, inviting road. WAY TO GO, CALEDONIA!
