Racing heat at annual CM Scout Pinewood Derby
With the wave of the checkered flag, Cub Scout Pack 4027 of Caledonia held their annual winter Pinewood Derby. Thirty-nine boys entered cars for both the speed and the best-looking car categories. The cars, each made by the scout, measured up to 5 inches long, 2 inches wide, and weighed up to 5 ounces. Longtime friend of the pack, Russ Barber, Cubmaster Dave Ebersole, several Cub Scout dads and mom Mechelle Bradley served as race starters, judges, and maintenance staff. The winners received race ribbons and medals while all scouts received a bag of race-related patches, stickers, and other goodies. All of the pack’s parents came together to help out and have a great time! Winners in the speed category -
