William L. Sherman

   William L. Sherman, 68, of Mumford died May 11, 2000 at St. Jerome's Hospital in Batavia. William served in the U.S. Army as a medic for 25 years. He served one term in Korea, and three terms in Vietnam. He was a member of the LeRoy Lion's Club, and enjoyed his rose garden and fishing, He was also a big Yankee's fan. William is survived by his wife; Murene, Mumford, children; Rebecca (Aldo) Poletti, Littleton, CO, William (Cyndi) Sherman, Spencer, IN, Lisa (Bryon) Segelke, Sterling, CO, and Kathryn (Kippy) (Tom) Lynch, Littleton, CO, mother-in-law; Lorraine Livermore, Mumford, stepson; Larry (Tricia) Gere, Mumford, siblings; Mary (Stanley) Jaszcz, LeRoy, Sally (James) Ventura, CA, Dorothy (James) Hertel, Richard (Kay) Sherman, Shirley (late Richard) Wolfram, Kathryn (Everett) Bryer, Lois (Emil) Augsburger, all of Buffalo, 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; William L. and Susie (Braun) Sherman.

   Friends called Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Alhart Funeral Home where his service was held Tuesday at 10 A.M. Reverend Encie Stevens officiated the service.
