William F. Bernard, age 72 years, of Caledonia died November 24, 2003 at his home in Caledonia. William was born May 25, 1931 in Perry, NY to Louis and Viola (Livingston) Bernard. He retired from the United States Navy in 1969, after 21 years of service. William also worked for Stroehmann Bread Company in Rochester. He was a member of the Matthew Cleary American Legion Post, the Caledonia Country Club, and St. Columba Church. William is survived by his wife, Eveline; daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Tom Hendrickson, Helen and Mike Truong both of Caledonia; sons and daughter-in-law, Cregg Bernard, Bill and Kathy Bernard, both of Jamestown; grandchildren, Ron and Bradley Hendrickson, Co Michael and Victoria Truong, Ryan, Billy and Andrew Bernard; sister, Barbara (Bob) Mahoney of Leicester; brother, Louis (Lottie) Bernard of Texas; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen and Ron Towers, James and Connie Walckner, Edward and Sheila Walckner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

   Friends called Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. His Funeral Mass was held Friday, 11:00 AM at St. Columba Church, Caledonia.
