Doris L. "Tuddy" Hessenthaler, age 70 years, of Caledonia died December 31, 2003 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She was born February 4, 1933 in Batavia, NY to Robert and Florence (Sheridan) Steedman. Tuddy assisted older adults as a home health care aide. She was a member of the Cal-Mum Lioness Club, an avid Caledonia-Mumford sports fan, and a past member of the Inverness Club. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law; Debra and Jim Gilson of Norris, TN, Shelley Gilbert of Oakfield, NY, son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kris Hessenthaler of Fayetteville, NC, five grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Sheila (Dick) Ouweleen of Chili, Norma Christopher of Hamlin; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Connie Steedman of Caledonia; sister-in-law, Shirley Steedman; several nieces and nephews.

   Friends attended her Memorial Service, Friday, January 2, 2004 at 6:00 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. A private interment was held. Memorials may be made to the Caledonia-Mumford Lions Club, PO Box 55, Caledonia, NY 14423 or a charity of your choice.
