Timothy J. Kelley

   Timothy J. Kelley, age 43 years, of Caledonia died suddenly on July 2, 2003. He was born August 13, 1959 in Rochester to Robert and Florence (Krenzer) Kelley. Tim owned and operated Kelley’s Farm in Caledonia. He started playing the trumpet in sixth grade, and it became an important part of his life. Tim graduated from Cal-Mum Central School and Alfred Agricultural & Technical College. Tim played trumpet for the nationally known party band, The Sky Coasters for 20 years. They have played concerts in the Rochester area, at the official Super Bowl Parties, and across the country. In 1992, Tim formed a marching band, known as Kelley’s Heroes. The band has marched at many fireman’s parades in the area, and were regular performers at the holiday parade in Toronto. Most of all Tim enjoyed visiting with his friends, family, and fellow farmers. He is survived by his wife, Heidi (Manley) of Caledonia; sons, Trevor, Donovan, and Connor Kelley; step-children, Megan and Timothy Beavers; sister, Mary Kelley of Buffalo; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Linda Kelley of Fairport; nieces Jess and Tori Kelley.

   Friends called Saturday, 7-9 P.M. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. His Funeral Mass was held Monday, 10:00 AM at St. Columba Church, Caledonia. As a tribute to him, Kelley’s Heroes played in procession from the church to the cemetery.
