Sarah R. Sabel Sarah R. "Sally" Sabel, age 78 years, of Caledonia died on July 20, 2005 at the LeRoy Village Green in LeRoy, NY. Mrs. Sabel was born on April 28, 1927 in Syracuse, NY the daughter of William and Dorothy Rand. She retired from Bausch and Lomb in Rochester. She is survived by her husband George Sabel of Caledonia; her Children Donna (Bruce) Fielding of East Smithfield, PA, William ((Jo Anne) Bean of Tully, NY, Mary (Scott) Fielding of Honey Brook, PA, Georgia (Fred) May of Fairport, Alan (Judith) Sabel of Cape Cod, MA, Dale (Jack) Birdson of Wolcott, NY; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; her sisters Dorothy Peters of Syracuse, NY, Barbara (Grant) Harvey of Salt Springs, FL; her brothers Chuck Rand of AL, Merton (Carol) Rand of Spring Lake, NY; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held Saturday (July 23, 2005) from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia, where her Funeral service was held following calling hours at 8:00 PM. Private interment. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, 840 University Ave., Rochester, NY 14607.
