Ruth J. Lucas

   Ruth J. Lucas, age 83 years, of Caledonia died January 4, 2008 at the Baird Nursing Home in Rochester. Mrs. Lucas was born February 20, 1924 in Avon, NY to David and Sadie Carpenter. She was a domestic engineer working for Jones Chemicals, Caledonia. She was a girl scout leader in Caledonia for 25 years and active in many groups within her church community. Mrs. Lucas is survived by her daughters, Peggy Parker and Patricia (David) Bryant; grandchildren; Mark Parker, Erik Parker, Corey, Ann-Marie, Arleen, Marcellus and Austin Bryant; great-granddaughter, Jada Parker; sisters Joyce Barnes and Rosemary Lucas, brother, William (Gerri) Carpenter; several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Robert predeceases Mrs. Lucas.

   Friends called Tuesday, January 8, 2008 from 2-4 PM with a service that followed at 4 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. A Private Interment at Mumford Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 435 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
