Rudolph McClenney Rudy McClenney, age 77 years, of Caledonia died May 10, 2006 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born the middle child of six to Joseph and Gladys McClenney on May 9, 1929 in Camden, NJ. Rudy attended school in Camden, NJ and graduated from Morgan State University in Maryland and did graduate work at SUNY Geneseo. He taught special education and Social Studies at Geneseo Central School until his retirement. Rudy served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Board of Elections for the Village of Caledonia. He volunteered for the Livingston County United Way. Rudy was a member of the Caledonia Village Board of Appeals. He was a member of St. Luke and St. Simon Cyrene Episcopal Churches where he was a lay reader. He is survived by his wife, Betty of Caledonia; children, Kelley McClenney of New Jersey and Scott (Lydia) McClenney of North Carolina; grandchildren; Julian McClenney and Ray Magee; brother, Lawrence (Geryl) McClenney of Maryland, Paul (Carolyn) McClenney of California; in-laws; John and Catherine Stewart of Caledonia, Robert and Arlene Williams of Chili, Marjorie Carpenter of Caledonia, Horace Shelton of Caledonia, Marvin Shelton of Rochester and Creaola Shelton of Caledonia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. His sisters Willia Saunders and Ruth Fussell and brother, Joseph McClenney predecease him. Friends and family attended his Funeral Service Saturday, May 13 at 10:00 AM at St. Luke and St. Simon Cyrene Episcopal Church, 17 South Fitzhugh Street, Rochester.
