Robert J. Stevens Robert J. Stevens, age 64 years, of LeRoy died May 2, 2005 at his home in LeRoy. He was born September 6, 1940 in Batavia, NY to William H. and Irene Stevens. Mr. Stevens retired as a Tool & Dye Maker for General Motors in Rochester. He served in the Marine Corp. and was a member of the Chili American Legion Post 1830. Mr. Stevens was a member of the Stafford Fire Department Exempt Club, and a member of the United Auto Workers. He enjoyed his grandchildren, NASCAR racing, hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Eloise; children, Gail Stevens of Binghamton, Alan (Tammy) Stevens of Bergen, Sherry (Jonas) Cruz of Chili, 10 grandchildren; sister, Connie (John) McElroy of FL; brothers, William (Ginger) of Chili, Rick (Fran) Stevens of FL; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. His Funeral Mass was held Saturday, 11:00 AM at St. Columba Church, Caledonia. A private interment will be held. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
