Raymond J. Grant

   Raymond J. Grant of Caledonia died March 20, 2005 at his home in Caledonia. He was born in Rochester to Peter and Edna Grant. He was a lifelong farmer in Caledonia and retired Caledonia Highway Superintendent. Mr. Grant was a member of the Caledonia Fire Department serving as past fire chief and fire police. He was a member of the Genesee Valley Hunt Club and the Genesee Valley Conservancy. A former member of the Caledonia Republican Committee, Mr. Grant received from the Honorable Robert Houston the Green Max Award for his distinguished service to the Genesee Valley Hunt.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Midge; daughters, Barb (Dan) Radigan of Keuka Lake, Patty (Bob) Ayers of Avon, Betty Sue Grant of Penfield, Terri (Pat) Murray of Elma, NY, Peggy (Steve) Warfield of MN; grandchildren, Jenny and Jerry Ingerick, Daniel Radigan, Jeff Ayers, Michael, Katie, Shannon and Meaghan Murray, Katherine and Clare Warfield; sister, Irene (John) Barber of Perry; brother-in-law, Tony Arrigenna of Fowlerville; several nieces and nephews. His son-in-law, George Patterson predeceases Raymond.

   Friends called March 21 at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main Street in Caledonia. His Funeral Mass was held Wednesday at St. Columba Church. Interment at St. Columba Cemetery. Memorial may be made to a charity of your choice.
