Margaret Coots

   Margaret "Peg" Coots in her 89th year died April 10, 2002 after enduring Alzheimer's for 15 years. The last six years were spent at Livingston County Nursing Home, Mt. Morris were she was treated with great respect and loving care.

   Peg was born in Rochester, NY on January 13, 1913 to Gordon and Ethelyn (Lee) Hammon. She lived in Caledonia with her husband, Ed for over 70 years, and had many friends that they laughed and danced and sang with. She was an avid golfer and a member of LeRoy Country Club. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and crosswords puzzles.  She was a member of the Caledonia Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

   Peg's husband, Edmund Coots and son, Edmund (Bud) Coots predecease her. She is survived by her daughter, Barb Kemnitz of Caledonia; grandsons, Michael (Kathy Joe) Kemnitz of Caledonia, Timothy (Cheryl) of Mumford; granddaughter, Lori (David) Anastasi of Caledonia; six great grandchildren, Nicole and April Kemnitz, Nathan and Benjamin Anastasi, James and Jonathan Kemnitz; sister Jane (Carl) Weber; and many nieces and nephews. Peg is also survived by many happy memories of her smile, her laugh and her generous heart. Thanks Mom.
