Pamela J. Pease

   Pamela J. (Ball) Pease, of Pavilion and formerly from Caledonia, departed this life on Mother's Day, May 14, 2006 at the Village Green Skilled Nursing Facility in LeRoy, NY. Pamela was born in Watford, Hertfordshire, England, on July 3, 1921, the third child of Maud and Charles Ball. Still a teenager at the outbreak of World War II, Pamela worked at different jobs designated by the British Government in aid of the War effort. In the spring of 1944, Pamela met and married PFC. Charles F. Pease from Mumford, NY, who was serving with the US 8th Air force, and stationed at Bovington Airfield. In 1946, Pamela joined other War Brides to make the journey to America with their daughter, Virginia. Pamela and Charles were married 51 years until his death in 1995.

   Pamela was predeceased by husband Charles; sister, Gladys Williams of Watford, England and sisters-in-law, Marion K. Pease and Virginia (Pease) Panzarella. Pamela is survived by daughter, Virginia P. (Robert) Westacott of Pavilion; grandson, Mark (Krista) Morrill of Holley; great-grandsons, John and Gregory; sisters, Maud Wickham of Waverly, Iowa and Phyllis Inskip of Watford, England; brothers, John (Barbara) Ball of Watford, England and Charles Ball of Christchurch, England; nieces, Victoria M. Wickham of Des Moines, IA and Mairead C. (Timothy) Conan of Syracuse, NY; and other nieces and nephews on both sides of the Atlantic. Pamela will also be missed by special family members, Elaine (Joe) Rosina, Danielle and Michael, Elise (Danny) Prevost of Leicester, Dennis and Devin, Eva (James) Harris of Taiwan, R.O.C. and the many people who offered her friendship, companionship and love during her lifetime.

   Family and friends called at the Cameron Brady & Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott Street, LeRoy, on Wednesday from 5-7PM, where Funeral Services were held on Thursday at 11AM. Memorials may be made to the LeRoy Volunteer Ambulance Fund or the LeRoy Village Green Sunshine Fund.
