Olive (Loomis) Stewart
"Ole"

On May 11, 2009 our beloved Aunt, Olive "Ole" Stewart, age 93, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born July 23, 1915 in Frankfurt, SD, Ole moved with her family to Caledonia at age 12. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Jessie Loomis, she was the 9th of 11 children. She is predeceased by all her siblings and her husband, Enoch "Nick". She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, and friends, young and old.

Ole lived 70+ years on Maple Street in Caledonia; she worked at Dinions & retired from Chloride Electro-Networks in Caledonia. Ole and her husband never had any children; however, they both loved their nieces and nephews, some of whom lived with them for periods of time.

For the last 8 years Ole has lived with her niece, Laura Platt and her husband, Doug, and their family; in the town of Byron. Ole became a member of Byron Presbyterian Church and a valued member of the community where she touched many children’s lives. Ole will be fondly remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, which was evident up to the end. She was loyal to all she loved and a treasured family member.
