Mary Sue Cooper

   Mary Sue Cooper, age 54 years, of Mumford/Culpepper, VA died peacefully on January 30 with her family at her side from complications of diabetes, cancer and kidney failure. She was employed at Conti Packing Company for 20 years and recently worked for the Caledonia-Mumford Central School; she was an honorary member of the Mumford Fire Department; and a volunteer for the Caledonia Ambulance. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert "Coop" of 36 years; two daughters, Sandy Thurman, USN of West Palm Beach, FL; Trish Ruf, USMC of Culpepper, VA; sisters, Veronica (Don) Pullyblank of Caledonia, and Evelyn (Bob) Grattan of Scottsville; several sister and brother-in-laws; several nieces and nephews, and her beloved pets.

   Friends called Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. Her Funeral Mass was held Friday, 11 AM at St. Columba Church in Caledonia. Private Interment. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
