| Mary MacKenzie Minster Mary MacKenzie Minster of Iroquois Road, Caledonia passed away on Friday May 8th at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home following a long illness. Born May 29, 1912 in LeRoy, NY, the daughter of Duncan and Nellie (Harris) MacKenzie. Predeceased by her husband Cutis Edmund Minster, she is survived by one son, Robert (Milly) of Binghamton, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her sister Eleanor Boyd of York, and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy MacKenzie of LeRoy and Georgianna MacKenzie of Washington, D.C. Mary was the secretary at Caledonia-Mumford School from 1943 until her retirement in 1982. During that time she served four superintendents, Walter Clifford for 4 years, Victor Scroger for 4 years, Fred Hinsdale for 30 years and Ray Chamberlin for 1 year. Mary was dedicated to the school, it's students and teachers and enjoyed hearing about how things were going for years after her retirement. Mary was an avid bridge player and loved to travel. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Caledonia. Calling hours will be at Alhart Funeral Home in Caledonia on Sunday May 17 from 2-4 and 7-9. An Eastern Star service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:45 PM. The funeral will be held on Monday May 18 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, Caledonia. Burial will be in the Mumford Rural Cemetery.
