Mamie E. Lucas Mamie E. Lucas, age 89 years died January 21, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a short illness She was born May 11, 1911 in Garnett, South Carolina to Ollie and Sarah (Midell) Bostic. Mamie is a retired machine operator for Dubois Plastics in Avon, and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Mumford. She is survived by her son; William H. Lucas III and his friend, Cheryl Nicholson, grandchildren; S. Renee Sanders, Dwight Sanders, Keith Lucas, Lisa Myrick, great-grandchildren; Brent Lucas, Keith Lucas Jr., Morgan Lucas and Gabrielle Lucas, several nieces and nephews, She is predeceased by her husband, William H. Lucas Jr. Friends called Thursday, 7-9 pm and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Alhart Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service was held Saturday, 11:00 am at the Second Baptist Church, George Street, Mumford. Her interment was held at Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 957 George Street, Mumford, NY 14511.
