Louis J. Johnston Sr., age 89 years, of Caledonia/Avon died January 23, 2007 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Born to Alfred and Catherine Johnston, Louis was born January 18, 1918 in LeRoy, NY. He retired from Johnston Mobile Home Sales in Caledonia. Mr. Johnston was a 50-year member of the Mason Eunice 930, Caledonia and a member of the Moose Lodge 2276 in Lepher Hills, FL. He was also an auctioneer and owned raced horses. Mr. Johnston is survived by his wife Sharon of Avon; son, Louis Johnston Jr. of Caledonia; grandchildren, Steven, Roger and David Johnston; great-granddaughters, Brittany, Kayla and Ciera; sister, Shirley Burdick of Caledonia; several nieces and nephews. His first wife, Doris Johnston predeceased Mr. Johnston in 1997.

   Friends called Thursday, January 25th, from 3-8 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. His Memorial Service was held at United Presbyterian Stone Church in Caledonia on Friday, January 26th at 11:00 AM. A private interment was held at Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
