E. Joyce Stein, age 77 years, of Caledonia died at her home in Caledonia on September 21, 2002. Joyce was born November 14, 1924 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada to Albert and Ethel (Foster) Lumley. She worked as bookkeeper on the family farm. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Hubert Stein; children, Arlene (Bob) Gall of Wheatland, Richard Stein of Caledonia, James Stein of Caledonia, Robert (Ruth) Stein of Saline, MI, Michael (JoAnn) Stein of Pride, LA, Teresa (Neil) Phelps of Caledonia, Peter (Debbie) Stein of Caledonia, Annette (Richard) Yauney of St. Johnsville, NY, Susan Stein (Frank Resillez) of Key Largo, FL, Sharon (Steve) Tubbs of Honeoye Falls; grandchildren: Craig Kwasney, Lynn Gall, Jessica and Peter Stein, Nikolaus Stein, Shanna (Justin) Boone, Aaron, Christina, Michael Phelps, Andrew, Allison, Kathryn, Joseph Stein, Alexandra, Gregory, Katherine, Margaret Yauney, Phillip Resillez, Chad, Julia, Emily Tubbs; brother, Ray (Rene) Lumley of FL; sister, Jane (Bud) Stein of LeRoy; several nieces and nephews. Her sister, Lois Pearse predeceased her.

   No prior calling hours. Friends attended her Funeral Mass, Tuesday, September 24, 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy. Interment at St. Columba Cemetery in Caledonia.
