John H. Rivers

   John H. Rivers, age 81 years, of Caledonia died October 18, 2006 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. He was born to John W. and Melinda Rivers on July 20, 1925 in Rochester, New York. He served in WWII and was a member of the American Legion.  Mr. Rivers retired from Eastman Kodak Company, and was a member of the Caledonia Fire Department, Caledonia-Mumford Lions Club and the Moose Club of LeRoy. Mr. Rivers is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law; Linda and John Preston of Albion, Karen and Edward Warren Jr. of Spencerport; son, John M. Rivers of Caledonia; grandchildren; Stacy (Daryl) Dambaugh, Dennis and Michael Warren and Carl Rivers; sisters, Carolyn Flavin, Mary (James) Hart, Nancy (Robert) Parker; brother, Thomas (Ann) Rivers all of Rochester. His wife Dorothy predeceases Mr. Rivers.

   Friends called Friday, October 20, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia where his funeral service was held Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 1:00 PM. Interment was held at Oatka Cemetery, Scottsville.
