John A. deLeeuw John A. deLeeuw, age 81 years, of Caledonia died September 8, 2002 at the Teresa House in Geneseo after a long battle with cancer. John was born June 10, 1921 in the Netherlands to Anthony and Alberta S. (Heinen) deLeeuw. He was a farmer in Caledonia for many years. John also served as past town supervisor and town justice in Caledonia. He also served as past president of the Livingston County magistrates assoc. John was a past chief of the Caledonia Fire Department and served for 60 years. He enjoyed Amerks Hockey, and was a past vice president of the Rochester Americans Executive Club. John is survived by his wife Vivian (Brignall) deLeeuw of Caledonia; daughter, Bonnie Roberts (Steven Landon) of Avon; sons, John of Rochester, Daniel (Michelle) deLeeuw of Avon; grandchildren, Graig, and Adam Roberts, Miranda, Zachary, Alexis deLeeuw; sister and brother-in-law, Femia and Duncan Schillinger of Scottsville; sisters-in-law, Shirley and Geraldine Brignall; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. His Funeral Service was held Thursday, 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 West Main Street, Caledonia. Interment at St. Columba Cemetery.
