James F. Quinlan

   James F. Quinlan, age 81 years, of Caledonia died July 13, 2003 at the Vincent House in Wayland after a brief illness. He was born May 29, 1922 in Dansville, NY to James F. and Otelia (Baldis) Quinlan. Jim served in the marines during WWII. He was an alumnus of Canisius College where he played basketball. He later played for the Rochester Royals basketball team. Jim retired from Keebler Company Inc. in Rochester after 28 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and spending time with his friends and family. Jim is survived by his wife, Peggy of Caledonia; children, Thomas (Mary) Quinlan of Wayland, William (Deborah) Quinlan of Dansville, Suzanne (Robert) Streeten of Corning, Mary Beth (Eric) Endres of Hilton; step-children, Richard (Amanda) McKay of OK, Michael (Nancy) McKay of Caledonia, Meg (Kevin) Geer of Caledonia; 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. His first wife, Betty Lou, daughter-in-law, Sally Quinlan and grandson, Jeffrey Quinlan predecease Jim.

   Friends called Thursday, July 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. A Funeral Mass was held Friday, July 18 at 11 AM at St. Columba Church, Caledonia. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Dansville.
