James F. Keenan

   James F. Keenan, age 77 years, of Caledonia died October 19, 2009 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. The son of Andrew and Blanche Keenan, James was born March 13, 1932 in Caledonia, NY. He retired as a carpenter for the Empire State Carpenters Union in Rochester. James was also a member of the Caledonia Fire Department, the Caledonia Ambulance and St. Columba Church. He is survived by his children, Debra (Michael LaPoma) Fox, Laurie Nevinger, Linda (Kim) Hurley, James Keenan Jr.; grandchildren, Danielle, Stephanie and Jennifer Fox, Jessica Hurley, Taylor, Michael and Molly Nevinger; sisters and brothers, Marjorie Gray, Margaret (Harry) Steiner, Mary (Harold) Sickles, Marilyn (C. Richard) Fisher, Robert Keenan, John (Patricia), Melville (Martha) Keenan; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Keenan; many nieces and nephews. His wife, Dorothy Powers Keenan; parents, Andrew and Blanche Keenan; brother, William Keenan and sister, Marion Wood predecease James.

   Friends called Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 4-7 pm at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. His Funeral Mass was held Friday, October 23, 2009 at 10 am at St. Columba Church. Interment was held at St. Columba Cemetery.
