James W. Gwynn

   James W. Gwynn, age 97 years, of Caledonia died December 17, 2001 at Highland Hospital after a short illness. James was born August 18, 1904 in Albany, NY to John R. and Catherine M. (Thomas) Gwynn. He was a farmer in Caledonia and a member of the National Grange. James enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and his wife, Augusta were the oldest living couple at St. Columba Church. James loved playing cards. James is survived by his wife of 73 years, Augusta (Cory) Gwynn of Caledonia; son, Edward Gwynn of Caledonia and friend Shirley Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Genevieve and Bill McFee of North Chili; four grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. His grandson, Thomas McFee predeceases him.

   Friends called Wednesday, December 19, 2001, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home. His Funeral Mass was held Thursday, December 20, 2001, 11:00 AM at St. Columba Church. Interment was held at St. Columba Cemetery.
