Helen A. Boylan Helen A. Boylan, age 96 years, of Mumford died August 14, 2003 at her home in Mumford, NY. She was born January 28, 1907 in Mumford to Edward and Mary (Wood) Boylan. She retired from Dinion Coil Company in Caledonia where she worked as a payroll clerk. At one time she wrote weekly articles for the Caledonia Advertiser and the Mumford News papers. During WWII she knitted sweaters for the Red Cross. She is survived by three nieces; Mary Hanna of Mumford, Sally (Howard) Offen of Scottsville, Nancy Shero of Scottsville; nephew Edward Hanna of Monticello, NY; six great nieces and nephews; Mark (Michele) Shero, Patricia (Plez) Bruno, Kathleen (Kenneth) Bohn, David (Laura) Offen, Stephen Offen, Michele (Davide) Sherman; several great-great-nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was held at St. Columba Church in Caledonia on Monday, August 18 at St. Columba Church. Reverend Walter Plominski officiated the Mass. Interment was held at St. Columba Cemetery in Caledonia. Contributions may be made to the Caledonia Ambulance, PO Box 3, Caledonia, NY 14423. Arrangements by Alhart Funeral Home.
