Frederick Robert Gray, age 83 years, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Caledonia, died of heart failure on September 6, 2003 at Good Shepard Hospice in Lakeland, FL. He was born May 24, 1920 in Caledonia, NY to David and Jane (Mawhinney) Gray. Fred was a farmer in Caledonia, and later worked for the Caledonia Highway Department. After moving to Florida he worked for the Orange County Highway Department until his retirement. Fred is survived by his wife Althea of Lakeland, FL; three daughters, Virginia Schrader of Douglasville, GA, Shirley (Jay) Ward of Caledonia, and Marilyn (Jim) Ryan of Lakeland, FL; son, Gerald Gray of Groveland, FL; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

   Friends called Saturday, October 11 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Alhart Funeral Home, where his Memorial Service followed at 11:00 AM. Reverend Nancy Reinert will officiated the service.
