Frank J. Balonek

   Frank J. Balonek, 78, of Mumford died September 11, 1999 at the Veterans Medical Center in Batavia. Frank was born September 14,1920 in Oakfield, NY, the son of John and Elenora (Latko) Balonek, He worked over 30 years for the John B. Davie Company in Rochester as Vice President. He was Wheatland Town Councilman for 25 years, and served as a pilot in the Navy during World War II.

   He is survived by his wife; Evelyn (Nichols) Balonek, sons and daughters-in-law; Timothy and Sharon and Steven and Sandra Balonek, all of Mumford, grandchildren; Melissa, Michael, Mary Lynn, Christopher, Kathryn, and Kelly. Brother and sister-in-law; Stephen and Sophia Balonek, LeRoy, sister-in-law; Betty Balonek, Chili, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Charles (Bud) and Edna Nichols, Mumford, and Elizabeth and W. Robert Sheldon, Caledonia, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother; Felix Balonek,

   There was no prior calling hours. Friends attended his memorial service Wednesday, September 15, 1999, 11:00 AM at the First United Presbyterian Church, Mumford, Officiating the service was Reverend Encie Stevens. A private interment took place at Mumford Rural Cemetery.
