Fernando L. Bonacquisti Sr. Fernando L. Bonacquisti Sr., age 84 years, of Caledonia died July 27, 2006 at the United Medical Memorial Center in Batavia. He was born February 5, 1922 in Rome, Italy to Paul and Rose Bonacquisti. Mr. Bonacquisti was a WWII Army veteran serving in the 90th Infantry. He retired from Upstate Dairy in LeRoy. He was a 50-year plus member of the Caledonia Fire Department where he served as Chairman of the Caledonia Fireman’s Carnival and Parade. He was a long time coach and umpire of the Caledonia Little League, and avid bowler and sportsman, and a member of St. Columba Church. Mr. Bonacquisti was a 60-year member of the Matthew Cleary American Legion Post in Caledonia. In his later years, Mr. Bonacquisti worked for the Genesee Country Village in Mumford as a security officer. Mr. Bonacquisti also enjoyed his family, grandchildren and his dog, Clancy. Mr. Bonacquisti is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law; Skip and Jacqueline of Batavia, Tom and Barbara of Ashburn, VA and Brian and Susan Bonacquisti of Alexandria, VA, four grandchildren; Laura, Allison, Matthew and Nicholas Bonacquisti; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Glauco Riggi of Caledonia, and brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Carol Bonacquisti of LeRoy; many nieces and nephews. His brother Marshall Bonacquisti and sister, Jean Amato predeceases Mr. Bonacquisti. Friends called Sunday, July 30, 2006 at the Alhart Funeral Home 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia from 3-7 PM. His Funeral Mass was held Monday, July 31, 2006, 11:00 AM at St. Columba Church, North Street, Caledonia. Interment at St. Columba Cemetery.
