Evelyn N. Balonek, 77, of Mumford died October 3,1999 at Genesee Memorial Hospital in Batavia following a long illness. Evelyn was born in LeRoy on February 24, 1922 to Charles and Anna (Stirling) Nichols. She was a homemaker and an active member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Mumford. Evelyn was involved in the Women's Association and the Lochard-Baldeck Group at the church. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Timothy and Sharon, and Steven and Sandra Balonek, all of Mumford, grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Mary Lynn, Christopher, Kathryn, and Kelly, brother and sister-in-law; Charles (Bud) and Edna Nichols, Mumford, sister and brother-in-law: Elizabeth and W. Robert Sheldon, Caledonia, sister-in-law Betty Balonek, Chili, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stephen and Sophia Balonek, LeRoy, several nieces and nephews, Evelyn is predeceased by her husband, Frank J. Balonek,

   Friends attended her Memorial Service, Wednesday, October 6, 1999 at 11:00 AM at the First United Presbyterian Church, Mumford, NY, Officiating the service was Reverend Encie Stevens. A Private interment took place at Mumford Rural Cemetery.
