Ethelyn R. Blaker

   Ethelyn R. Blaker, 79, died August 30, 1999 in Caledonia after a long battle with cancer. Born July 20, 1920, in LeRoy, she was the daughter of Michael and Mary Ruth (Phillips) Morrison. Mrs. Blaker was retired from Rochester Products in Rochester. She was a member of the LeRoy American Legion, LeRoy Moose, LeRoy Country Club, and the Mumford Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Ethelyn enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading and sewing.

   Mrs. Blaker is survived by daughter, Barbara (Douglas) Taggart, Caledonia, son, Herbert L. (Helen Whyte) Blaker, Avon; grandchildren, Corinne (Chris) Heschke, LeRoy, Michael (Edie Cornish) Hirschman, Mumford, Robert (Benita) Blaker, Alabama, Victoria (David) Rogers, Florida, James Blaker, LeRoy; great-grandchildren: Krystal and Kevin Heschke, David and Brady Rogers, Bobby Blaker Jr.; sister Mary Elizabeth Aiken, Henrietta; and many friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Blaker, son, David Blaker; and brothers Raymond, George, and Michael Morrison.

   Friends may call Wednesday, September 1, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, where her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 2 at 11:00 AM Officiating the service will be Sister Virginia Taylor. Interment will be held at Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Livingston County Hospice, American Cancer Society or Mumford Fire Department.
