Elsbeth E. Fortner died May 11, 1998, at home, Belcoda Rd., Wheatland, NY after a long illness. Born January 23, 1927, in Offenbach, Germany, the daughter of Joscf and Anna (Hillenbrand) Baus.

    Survived by her Loving husband, Larry Fortner, Wheatland. Daughters and sons-in-law; Monika Fortner, Scottsville,  Renate and Joseph Kennedy, Colorado Springs, CO., Linda and Richard Grattan, Caledonia, Brenda and Anthony Montalbano, Caledonia. Son and Daughter-in-Law Mark and Becky Fortner, Caledonia, Sister Gustel Dörr, Germany.Ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Dear friends of 50 years, Hank and Barb Dempsey, Wheatland.

    A Homemaker and past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Caledonia Chapter. Mumford Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Cub Scout Leader, Den mother and member of the United Presbyterian Stone Church.
