Elizabeth F. Herkimer

    Elizabeth F. Herkimer, age 88 years, of Caledonia/LeRoy died December 20, 2006 at her home in LeRoy. She was born April 21, 1918 in Caledonia, NY to Theodore and Charlotte Feeley. Mrs. Herkimer graduated from the Geneseo Normal School and earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Buffalo. She was the first to teach special education in Livingston County at Caledonia-Mumford Central School until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing playing cards, watching sports, and especially Cal-Mum football. Mrs. Herkimer is survived by her children; James (Linda) Herkimer of Syracuse, John (Maryann) Herkimer, Christine (Bob) Attridge both of Caledonia; grandchildren, Tricia Cornell, Rachel Cornell, Rebecca Cornell, Jeffrey Attridge, Erin Herkimer and Jillian Herkimer; four great-grandchildren and many friends. Her husband, James F. Herkimer predeceased Elizabeth in 1986.

   A private service was held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements made by Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia.
