Elenore "Eli" Fox Elenore "Eli" Fox, age 72 years, of Caledonia passed away on Friday, July 28. 2006. She was born in Nanticoke, PA; and lived her childhood years in Glen Lyon, PA. She was educated in Newport Township Public Schools and graduated from Newport H.S. in 1952. She studied at Indiana State College (now Indiana University of PA.) in Indiana, PA and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art in 1956. She was a member of Delta Pi Delta and Kappa Delta Pi Honoraries as well as Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She taught school in PA for several years. She later continued her education in preparation for a change in careers. Eli completed Associate Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and ultimately received a B.S. Degree in Electronics from The Rochester Institute of Technology. She was employed by Eastman Kodak. In addition to her formal employment Eli had a great many other accomplishments. She taught Auto Mechanics for Women in the Greece, NY School District and was the first certified Female Auto Inspector in the State of PA. After retiring she devoted time to public service as a Docent at the Seneca Park Zoo, Rochester and was an Interpreter at the Genesee Country Village Museum in Mumford. She is survived by her loving companion of 13 years,
William Freeman; her sons, Jay (Rose), Chet (Renee) and Steve Fox; her
brother, Chet (Chesha) Zimolzak and her grandchildren, Corrine, Sarah,
Nathan, Mike and Justine.
