Edward C. Garland

   Edward C. Garland, 61, died August 29,1999 at his home in Caledonia. The son of Raymond and Alien (Muir) Garland, Edward was born March 5, 1938 in Johnstown, PA. Edward worked for Cole Sand & Gravel in Caledonia as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator; he also repaired small engines. Edward was also a member of Avon Wesylan Church and Elim Gospel Church in Mt. Morris.

   He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Valerie (Mack) Garland, Caledonia, sons and daughters-in-law; Edward K. and Michelle, Caledonia, John A. and Janice, Caledonia, James F. and Cathy, Leicester, and Robert Garland, Caledonia, daughter and son-in-law; Patricia A, and Steve Yates, West Almond, 16 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter, brothers and sisters-in-law: Ben, Raymond and Lenora Jean, Allen and Linda Garland; sisters and brothers-in-law: Betty Silk, Judy and Cecil Lindsey, Rita and Galen Ressler, Sally and Don McClain, all of PA, Aunt Louise and Uncle Martin Pappa, Brockport, brothers-in-law; Raymond, Richard and Ronald Mack. Predeceased by brother and sister-in-law; Glen and Hope, another brother; Glen and sister; Ornetta.

   Friends may call Tuesday, August 31, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 1 at 11:00 AM. Officiating the service will be Pastors Gerald Wright and Eric Scott. Interment will be private.
