Douglass P. MacKay, age 81 years, of Caledonia died April 27, 2008 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. The son of Alexander and Louella MacKay, Douglas was born on May 27, 1926 in Batavia, NY. Mr. MacKay retired from the Gates-Chili Central School District where he taught. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the Matthew Cleary Post 255 in Caledonia. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years; Aileen; children; Colin, Kyle (Michelle) MacKay, Alison (David) Palic, grandchildren; Sara MacKay, Aidan MacKay and Taryn Palic. His daughter, Adrienne predeceased Mr. MacKay.

   Friends attended his Memorial Service, Sunday, May 4, 2008, 3:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 West Main Street, Caledonia.
