Dorothy M. Powell

   Dorothy M. Powell, 73, of Avon and formally from Caledonia, died January 23, 2000 at Strong Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. She was born July 26,1926 in Retsof to Erwin and Mina (Weaver) Orman. Dorothy is predeceased by her son, Larry Powell. She is survived by her husband Sethford Powell, Avon; daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Walt Christian, Livonia; grandsons, Jeff Hamilton and Joel Culbreath; nephews, Don Batzel and Tim (Ginny) Batzel, and their children.

   Friends called Tuesday, January 25, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service was held Wednesday, January 26, 10 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, East Avon. Officiating the service was Reverend Thomas Taylor. Interment was held at Mumford Rural Cemetery, Mumford.
