Dorothy L. MacKenzie, age 90 years, of LeRoy died March 2, 2002 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. She was born on June 13, 1911 in Buffalo, NY to Edward and Emily (Schnitz) Markmann. Dorothy graduated from the Fredonia Normal School and taught in Perry School before she married. She later was a substitute teacher for the LeRoy and Byron-Bergen Schools. Dorothy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Caledonia and a member of the Women's Group. She was also a member of the LeRoy Historical Society and enjoyed her many friends and reading. Dorothy is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Duncan and Kathy, David and Lucy, both of LeRoy, five grandchildren, sister-in-law, Eleanor Boyd of York. Her husband, Willis D. MacKenzie predeceased her in 1984.

   Friends called Monday, 7-9 PM and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service was held Wednesday, 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 West Main Street, Caledonia. Interment at Mumford Rural Cemetery.
