Donald Downey

   Donald D. Downey, 70, of State Street died at home on November 22,1998 following a long illness. Born on June 14,1928 in Jasper, NY, the son of Earl and Aurilla (VanSkiver) Downey.

   He is survived by his wife: Carol (Warters) Downey, Caledonia, daughter and son-in-law: Denise and Ronald Grant, Caledonia, and son and daughter-in-law: Robert and Melody Downey, Caledonia. Grandchildren; David and Allison Grant, Robert Jr. and Samantha Downey. Brother; Frank Downey, Canisteo. Predeceased by his son; David Downey (June 1980).

   Mr. Downey had worked as an Equipment Operator for B.R. Dewitt Company in Caledonia.

   Calling Hours will be Tuesday, November 24, 1998, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia.

   A Service will be held Wednesday, November 25,1998, 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 West Main Street, Caledonia. Reverend Nancy Reinert officiating.

   Burial on Wednesday, November 25, 1998, 3:00 PM in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo, NY.
