Dola R. McKay, age 95 years, of Caledonia died May 4, 2002 at the Avon Nursing Home in Avon after a short illness. She was born September 27, 1906 in Marble Hill, Missouri to Levi Franklin and Isadora (McKelvey) Cooper. Dola worked for many years as a store clerk at Johnson’s IGA in Caledonia. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Caledonia. Dola is survived by her son; Richard (Jenell) of Caledonia; daughter and son-in-law; Doris and Jim Rothrock of Caledonia; daughter-in-law; Betty McKay of Rochester, 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Floyd (Pauline) Cooper of CA, Charles (Joe) Cooper of CO, Melvin (Lou) Cooper of CA, Wilbur (Peggy) Cooper of CO, James (Alta Mae) Cooper CO; sisters-in-law, Pauline and Mona Cooper of CO. Predeceased by her husband, Charles McKay; her son, C. Robert McKay; four brothers and two sisters.

   Friends called Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service was held Wednesday, 2 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 West Main Street, Caledonia. Interment was held at Mumford Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Caledonia Ambulance, PO Box 1, Caledonia, NY 14423.
