Catherine M. Perhamus, age 89 years, of Caledonia died October 10, 2003. She was born May 26, 1914 in Rochester, NY to John and Lucy (Stinson) MacLarty. Catherine attended the Geneseo Normal School and earned her Lifetime Teaching Certificate. She earned her B.S. from the University of Rochester, and her Master’s degree from SUNY Brockport. Catherine was a retired teacher form LeRoy Central Schools. She was a member of the N.Y. S. Teachers NEA, Delta Kappa Gamma-Beta Alpha Chapter, International Honorary Society for teachers, and the former president of her chapter. Catherine was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Caledonia. She is survived by her children; Charles "Harlow" (Donna) Perhamus of Rhode Island, Karen (Bill) McQuilkin of Caledonia, John (Duannah) Perhamus of Canandaigua, Frank Perhamus of FL, Robert (Judy) Perhamus of Caledonia; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Everett) Herman of Webster, June Smith of FL, Mary Elizabeth Blaese of Honeoye Falls; brother, Donald (Ruth) MacLarty of Rochester; sister-in-law, Alice MacLarty of Webster; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

   Friends attended her Memorial Service, Wednesday, 3:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 W. Main Street, Caledonia. A private interment at Mumford Rural Cemetery was held. Memorials may be made to Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship Fund, 8726 Caswell Road, Byron, NY 14422.
