Carol A. McCormick, age 75years, died peacefully on January 23, 2005 at her home in Avon, NY. Mrs. McCormick was born on July 2, 1929 in Avon, NY the daughter of Joseph and Frances Coonan. She was a graduate of RBI and SUNY Geneseo. She retired in 1959 from the Caledonia-Mumford School District where she worked as an elementary school teacher. She also served as the Avon Village Court Clerk for 18 years. She was an active member of the St. Agnes Cemetery committee, and a life long member of St. Agnes Church in Avon.

   She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael J. McCormick of Avon; her daughter, Molly (John) Caltabiano of MA; her sons, Michael J. McCormick of Rochester, Timothy (Erika) McCormick of RI, Patrick (Barbara) McCormick of Avon, Mark (Mary) McCormick of OH; her brother Joseph (Lucille) Coonan of Perinton; 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Chapman of Florida.

   Friends called Friday, January 28, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 350 Genesee Street, Avon. Her Funeral Mass was held Saturday, 10 AM at St. Agnes Church, Avon. Reverend Jerry Appelby, Reverend Symon Ntaiyia, Reverend Peter Mandina officiating. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery.
