Robert C. Smith, age 85 years, of LeRoy died November 3, 2002 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. He was born March 30, 1917 in Rochester to Frank and Agnes (O’Connor) Smith. Robert retired from the Town of LeRoy Highway Department as a mechanic. He was a WWII army veteran and enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Edith (Bennetti) Smith of LeRoy; son, Roger Smith of Pavilion; daughters and sons-in-law; Roxanne and Gerry Paganin of Avon, Renee and Michael Miller of Pavilion, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; brother and sister-in-law, George and Joan Smith of Avon, sister, Celia Ayers of Stratford, NY, many nieces and nephews.

   No prior calling. Friends attended his Funeral Service Tuesday, 10 AM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. Interment at St. Francis Cemetery in LeRoy. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 2113 Chili Avenue, Rochester, NY 14624.
