Robert J. Major

   Robert J. Major, age 70 years, died April 6, 2005 at his home in Caledonia. He was born July 8, 1934 in Rochester, NY to William and Margaret Major. Robert retired from Monroe County as a Bridge Foreman after 38 years of service. He enjoyed his grandchildren and playing euchre. He is predeceased by his wife, Barbara; brothers, William and Stuart; sister, Diann Fenton. Robert is survived by his children, Master Sgt. Robert USAF (Donna) Major Jr. of Medina, Cheryl (Edwin) Payne of Wyoming, Elizabeth (William) Major-O’Brien of Rush; 7 grandchildren, Deanna and Lisa Major, Christopher and Phillip Payne, Kyle, Kevin, Kelly O’Brien; brothers, Jan (Maryanne) of Phelps, Edward Major of Rochester; sisters, Kathy (Ed) Wisnies of Las Vegas, Liz (Gary) Wurzer of Scottsville; brother-in-law, Ronald Fenton of FL.

   Friends called Sunday, April 10, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with his Funeral Service that followed at 8 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. A private interment was held at Honeoye Falls Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14642.
