Blanche D. Keenan

   Blanche D. Keenan, in her 100th year died October 6, 2005 at the Avon Nursing Home. She was born October 31, 1905 in Caledonia to David and Mary Leathersich. She was a life-long resident of Caledonia, a homemaker and member of St. Columba Church and its Rosary Society. She enjoyed her family, gardening, and crossword puzzles. Blanche is survived by her children; Marjorie Gray of LeRoy, Margaret (Harry) Steiner of North Chili, Mary (Harold) Sickles of Caledonia, Marion Wood of Caledonia, Marilyn (C. Richard) Fisher of Caledonia, James Keenan of Caledonia, Robert Keenan of Riverview, FL, John (Patricia) Keenan of Mumford, Melville (Martha) Keenan of Caledonia; daughter-in-law; Mary Ann Keenan of Caledonia; 98 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nephew and nieces. Her husband, Andrew and son, William predeceases Blanche.

   At Blanche's request there were no calling hours. Family and friends attended her Funeral Mass, Tuesday, 11 AM at St. Columba Church, North Street, Caledonia. Interment was held at St. Columba Cemetery. Memorials may be made to any Caledonia charity. Arrangements made by Alhart Funeral Home.
