William J. LaFave, "Wiggie", age 78 years, died August 24, 2002 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. "William was born August 26, 1923 in Rochester to William J. and Margaret (McGowan) LaFave. He retired from Eastman Kodak in Rochester as a paper maker and served in WWII. William was a member of the United Presbyterian Stone Church in Caledonia. He is survived by his wife; Marjorie (Ryal) LaFave of Caledonia; sons and daughter-in-law; Michael LaFave, Richard and Eileen LaFave; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Gary Matteson, all of Caledonia; four granddaughters; Monica (James) VanHorn, Amber, Tammy and Michelle Matteson; brother, Albert (Mary Jane) LaFave; several nieces and nephews.

   Friends were invited to attend his Funeral Service, Tuesday, August 27 at 11:00 AM at the United Presbyterian Stone Church, 3177 Church Street, Caledonia, NY 14423. Interment was held at Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Presbyterian Stone Church or Palliative Care Unit, c/o Strong Memorial Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642.
