William A. DeNoon William A. DeNoon, 90, of Caledonia died April 21, 2000 at his home after a long illness. He was born March 7, 1910, in Caledonia to Alexander and Jeannette (McIntyre) DeNoon. William owned and ran a diary farm in Caledonia and was a self-employed electrician that repaired electric motors. For 15 years, he was a campground inspector in the Northeastern States for Rand McNally. William was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Caledonia, Caledonia Senior Citizens, Caledonia Grange, Pamona Grange and the Linwood Grange. He served as a fireman and on the ambulance for Caledonia, and was a member of the Western New York Fireman's Association. He served as a committeeman and was a 20-year member for the Livingston County Republican Party. He was also a member of the Big Springs Historical Society and the Caledonia Library. William was awarded as Caledonia Fireman of the Year and in 1981 he was honored with the Caledonia-Mumford Citizen of the Year Award. William is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Helfer DeNoon, Caledonia, daughter; Ann Kretchmer, Easton ME, grandchildren; Kevin (Krista) Kretchmer Stafford, NY, and Janet (Mark) Coleman, Canton, GA; great-grandchildren; Arthur, Timothy, and Katrina Kretchmer, sister; Catherine Ford, LeRoy, niece and nephew. Friends were invited to attend his Memorial Service, Tuesday, April 25, 2000, 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, Caledonia. Officiating the service was Reverend Nancy Reinert. Interment was held al Mumford Rural Cemetery, Mumford.
