Elizabeth L. Coyle Elizabeth L. "Betty" Coyle, age 82 years, of LeRoy/Caledonia passed on to Glory surrounded by her loving family on January 18, 2009 after a brief illness at the Avon Nursing Home. Betty was born July 16, 1926 in Pomfret, NY to Louis and Dorothy Burrows. During WWII, she worked in the typing pool at the Pentagon. As a life-long member of St. Columba's Church, she was active in the Rosary Society, the Stephen Ministry and taught church school. Blessed with a servant's heart, Betty enjoyed helping others in their time of need. She worked in the kitchen of the Wheatland Senior Center, cherished time spent with her family and many friends, square dancing, baking and gardening. She is survived by her sons; David (Molly) Coyle of Mumford, Dan (Karen) Coyle of Churchville; daughters, Sharon (Len) Haller of Greece, Diane (Michael) Seals of Houston, TX, Rosemary (Robert) VanHarken of Lima; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; sisters, Marge Smith of Mumford, Linda Burrows of Rochester; sisters-in-law, Mary Macomber of Geneseo, Beulah Burrows of Stafford, Mary Burrows of Leicester; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Earl Coyle; five brothers and one sister. Friends called Wednesday, January 21 from 1-4 and 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. Her Funeral Mass was held Thursday, January 22 at 10 AM at St. Columba Church, 198 North Street, Caledonia. Interment at Mumford Rural Cemetery.
