Elizabeth A. McKernan Elizabeth A. "Betsy" McKernan, 52, of Caledonia died May 31, 2000 at the Highlands at Brighton after a long illness. The daughter of Thomas L. and Margaret (Buckley) McKernan, she was born on November 14, 1947 in Batavia. Betsy was a member of St. Columba Church. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law: Thomas P. and Carol McKernan, Rochester; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Anne and Tom Cornell, Caledonia, niece and nephew, Michelle and Michael Cornell; two great nephews, Matthew and Jacob Abbott; four aunts, and one uncle; several cousins; many dear friends from the Caledonia IRA and the Highlands at Brighton. Friends called Friday, June 2, 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Alhart Funeral Home. Her Funeral Mass was held Saturday, June 3 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Columba Church. Interment will be held at St. Columba Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Caledonia Ambulance, PO Box 1, Caledonia, NY 14423.
